07.13.2007: Northern Virginia Transportation Authority

On July 12th, the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority met in Falls Church and passed all the proposed fees that were on the table.  These fees as proposed will possibly generate up to $300 million for Northern Virginia transportation projects.  For more information on everything related to this new bill in Northern Virginia and the fees as approved last night, click here http://thenovaauthority.org/

While this is a Northern Virginia funding issue, the issues for transporation extend further beyond NOVA, as the metropolitation area is obviously traversed by those in Maryland, DC as well as Virginia, and the implications for road projects and metro stations will impact a wide array of travelers, regardless of your home address.  I hope this information is useful

We are really looking forward to seeing everyone and are excited about another great event.  If you have any questions, drop an email on the site or give me a call, 703-228-3420.  If you are looking to RSVP, give Carol a call at 703-324-5034 or email carol.lamborn@fairfaxcounty.gov

Thanks! Looking forward to it.
